Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus, Yuri Karaev, took responsibility for the injuries sustained by random people at the protests and apologized.
On August 12, against the backdrop of protests, Karayev said that he had instructed the security forces "not to touch the journalists," except for cases where they stand "between violators and the forces of law and order."
