Corridors of the courts

A pregnant woman pursued a (Arab) worker who had molested her on the metro. Dubai Police succeeded in catching him and referred him to the Public Prosecution and from there to the Criminal Court.

The victim (Arab) said that she was in the metro and felt that someone was sticking to her despite the presence of large areas, so she moved away from him, but he repeated his act and persisted in his behavior to the point that it led her to shout at him, so he rushed out as soon as the door was opened, fearing her reaction, and went behind him trying to stop him Even though she is pregnant, he ignored her and ran away.

A Dubai police witness said that he listened to the victim, then communicated with his colleagues who arrested the accused, and denied that he had intended to harass her.

Emirates Today, through the “Courts” page, which is published in the issue every Saturday, receives its readers' consultations and inquiries to find out the legal viewpoint.
