A 71-year-old man was saved by several young people this Thursday afternoon on a beach in Veulettes-sur-Mer (Seine-Maritime). The victim was lifeless at the water's edge, reports  76actu .

The young people were on the beach when they spotted a body that appeared to be lifeless. It was then around 1:40 pm The gang headed for the beach first aid station to alert the fire department.

He regains consciousness in the helicopter

On site, rescuers began resuscitation. A helicopter then arrived to transport the victim to the Montivilliers hospital center, near Le Havre.

A medical vehicle was also on site before the departure of the septuagenarian. The intervention ended shortly after 3 p.m., says 76actu . According to the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (SDIS), the victim regained consciousness in the helicopter and his life is no longer in danger.
