• Germany: The most far-right wing of the AfD dissolves itself

The car of the vice-president of the parliamentary group of the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD), Roland Gläser , has dawned this Thursday in Berlin destroyed by flames. The police do not rule out that it is a politically motivated attack .

The fire broke out around 2:20 a.m. and the neighbors called the fire department. Another vehicle that was parked in front of the deputy's car was also damaged.

Gläser himself is convinced that it is an attack by leftist groups . On his Twitter account, he ironically said that he had received a visit from "civil society", alluding to the movements in Berlin that oppose the far right and that frequently also participate in demonstrations against the AfD.

The chairman of the AfD parliamentary group in Berlin, Georg Paderski , has also condemned what happened. "Setting fire to a family's car at night is creepy. When will actions be taken against the left to stop the terror and violence?" He said.

According to statistics from the Federal Criminal Office , a clear majority of politically motivated crimes in Germany currently come from far-right groups or individuals.

In recent months, however, there have been several arson attacks on cars belonging to AfD politicians and in some cases radical left groups have claimed responsibility.
