According to the data presented, the incumbent President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko is leading the presidential elections in Minsk with 64.49% of the vote. His closest rival Svetlana Tikhanovskaya won 14.92% of the votes in the Belarusian capital.

Earlier, former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, in a video message, commented on the events in Belarus, urging Minsk to hold early presidential elections.

According to preliminary data from the Central Election Commission of Belarus, the incumbent head of the country Alexander Lukashenko won with 80.08% of the vote following the presidential elections.
