"Repairing military vehicles is my life's career" (the most beautiful revolutionary soldier in the new era)

He is a dark-skinned Northeastern man, a little shy when interviewed.

However, when he was in the repair workshop, he was in a different state-turning head, up wrench, screw down, drilling the bottom of the car, kneeling, lying on his side, and lying on his back freely, chatting and laughing with his comrades in arms. A person, a workshop, and a set of repair tools constitute his "small world."

After graduating from junior high school and serving as a soldier, he has been repairing cars in the army for 23 years and has built a "famous hall": innovated and invented more than 10 equipment and tools, won the third prize of military scientific and technological progress, and enjoyed special government allowances from the State Council; , Has won the first prize of the "Non-commissioned Officer Outstanding Talent Award", and the "100 Good Squad Leaders" of the entire army and the Armed Police Force; in more than 20 important operations such as the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the vehicle has been overhauled more than 8,000 times.

He is Zhang Junkai, a repair technician in a regiment of Shenyang Joint Logistics Support Center. Now, at the age of 40, he has grown into a second-level sergeant major. Looking back on my 23-year military career, Zhang Junkai said: "Repairing military vehicles is my lifelong career."

"The repairman is the guard of the iron cavalry, an indispensable screw on the battlefield"

The cavalry loves the grassland, the sailor loves the sea, and the pilot loves the blue sky. If you want to ask Zhang Junkai what he loves, he will definitely say, repair military vehicles.

As soon as he graduated from junior high school, Zhang Junkai signed up to serve as a soldier, and was assigned to a driving post after his second company. Following an experienced veteran monitor, Zhang Junkai made rapid progress.

In his first consecutive year, his younger brother died in a car accident. The driver in the accident did not take the signs of brake failure seriously because he didn't know how to repair the car, and eventually an accident occurred. In an exercise not long afterwards, Zhang Junkai did not know how to repair cars, and the vehicle he drove could not fix the problem in time after it "lays down", which delayed the fighter plane. These two things made him determined to change his job to repair the car, ensure the normal operation of the car, and try his best to reduce accidents.

"The driver is galloping on the battlefield, majestic scenery, but the repairman is the guard of the cavalry, an indispensable screw on the battlefield, small but very important!" He said to his comrades when he decided to be a repairman.

This job is very hard and tiring. What keeps him going is his sense of responsibility as a soldier and his love for military vehicle repair. "Fix the faulty vehicle, and the driver is happy like a Chinese New Year. At that time, I really felt a special sense of accomplishment and felt that I was an indispensable member of the army." Zhang Junkai felt the value of the repair work.

His lover Li Hong recalled the scene when he met Zhang Junkai, "He was wearing a repairman's clothes, smelling of gasoline, stains on his face and clothes." Li Hong originally thought that he was simple and honest, and did not have time to change his clothes at the first meeting. I found that he was in this uniform every time I met. "He has feelings for cars and the army," Li Hong said.

In Zhang Junkai's heart, repairing military vehicles has become his sacred mission. He loves this job deeply and cares about every military vehicle. He said: "I can't stop my love for repairing military vehicles. I can't live without military vehicles."

"No matter what car, as long as the troops have it, I will be able to repair it"

Joining the army for 23 years, his dedication and perseverance in auto repair has allowed Zhang Junkai to continuously achieve innovative breakthroughs over the years, and gradually won the praise of the "soldier craftsman" in the auto repair field.

The ingenuity comes from Zhang Junkai's strong temper. If you recognize one thing, you must do it to the end. "No matter what car, as long as the troops have it, I will repair it." Zhang Junkai said. In order to understand the military vehicle, he followed his master's car before and after the car during the day, specializing in dirty work; in the evening holding the textbook to study the cause of the failure, learn a principle, compare the components; master a skill, make a summary, books Have broken through dozens of books.

One winter, Zhang Junkai rushed to the grassland with the transport team to exercise, and the transport team was on standby in a woods. The battle started early in the morning, but a car delivering ammunition could not catch fire. Zhang Junkai saw that the engine oil had condensed into a "mushy" due to the low temperature. Fix the car and send the ammunition to the position. The drill is over! From then on, he decided that he must study a solution.

To prevent the oil from condensing, you must start the car at intervals to keep it at a certain temperature. "The driver needs to drive during the day and rest at night. How can he get up and start the car at intervals?" Zhang Junkai began to study the automatic start-stop device.

For a soldier who graduated from junior high school, doing scientific research is easier said than done. In addition to completing daily work, Zhang Junkai looked around for information and asked teachers to find solutions.

Finally, the army’s first "automobile timing start-up heat preservation device" adapted to the severely cold combat environment was born in his hands. A year later, the device won the third prize of Army Science and Technology Progress Award. Since then, the military vehicle of Zhang Junkai's unit has never failed to catch fire under severe cold conditions. Zhang Junkai overcame a series of technical difficulties with his drilling vigour, and was hailed by the officers and soldiers as the "magic doctor of iron cavalry."

"Emergency repair is not a battle for one person. If you teach one more person, you will have more confidence to win."

Since joining the army, Zhang Junkai's car repair skills have undergone many important tests. His rigorous style inspires his comrades around him.

Every time he goes on a mission, he chooses one or two comrades to learn and train with him. After work, he opens small classes in the workshop to share experience and methods of special handling. "Even if you are full of iron, how many nails can you hit? Rush repair is not a battle of one person. If you teach one more person, you will have more confidence to win." Zhang Junkai said.

The comrades not only learned maintenance skills from Zhang Junkai, but also learned his loyal responsibility and pursuit of the ultimate spirit.

After on-site teaching time and time again, Zhang Junkai has taught more than 1,000 soldiers and trainees more than 100 backbones in the auto repair business. They have rooted in the grassroots and on the front line, safeguarding the battlefield, and, like Zhang Junkai, are not in a hurry, are persevering in research, and are striving for the goal of a strong army in the new era.
