On Monday evening, the National Institute of Public Health (NIPH), Norway's equivalent to the Swedish Public Health Agency, recommended that the Norwegian government “redlist” six Swedish regions. This would mean that entrants from these regions would have to be quarantined for ten days.

Örebro one of them

The Norwegian government then decided on Tuesday to follow FHI's recommendation and now marks the regions Örebro, Östergötland, Värmland, Uppsala, Dalarna and Blekinge in red.

The reason

The reason why these regions have been marked in red is because they have had more than 20 confirmed cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last two weeks. From 29 July until 11 August, the Örebro region has had approximately 32 confirmed cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
