"From August 17, 2020, international flights to the United Arab Emirates, the Republic of Belarus, Germany, the Netherlands, Egypt, Ukraine and Russia will be gradually resumed," the message says.

The decision was made taking into account the recommendations of the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan and the interdepartmental commission to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

The committee noted that these countries "support the resumption of flights with Kazakhstan in compliance with sanitary and epidemiological requirements."

However, as added in Kazakhstan, "to fly to Russia requires permission from the Russian side."

It is expected that the number of flights will depend on the current intergovernmental agreements and the commercial load of the aircraft on each route.

On June 20, Kazakhstan resumed air traffic with Turkey, South Korea, China, Georgia, Japan and Thailand.
