A festive and unauthorized gathering brought together several hundred people from the Guyanese community in a field in the village of Matougues, on the banks of the Marne. A festival that does not say its name
The small village of Matougues, near Châlons-en-Champagne, did not expect to be invaded by hundreds of cars on Saturday evening. Since then, the participants have deserted Matougues: they have returned to Luxembourg, Belgium, Germany, Toulouse and even Dijon. The revelers were mostly young people, between 20 and 40 years old. The risk of transmission of the virus would therefore be "particularly high", underlines the Regional Health Agency. The appearance of a cluster now seems inevitable.
