The small village of Matougues, south of Reims, was the scene of a large unauthorized party bringing together nearly 1,000 people. A gathering out of control which makes the health authorities fear the emergence of a new cluster in the Grand-Est region.

Matougues, 600 inhabitants, but almost double the number of revelers on the night from Saturday to Sunday. A festive and unauthorized gathering brought together several hundred people from the Guyanese community in a field in the village of Matougues, on the banks of the Marne. ARS Grand Est and the department are carrying out a health survey to find all the participants, the musicians, but also the taxi drivers solicited, to order them to be screened and to wear the mask systematically, after such a risk of contamination at coronavirus.

A festival that does not say its name

The small village of Matougues, near Châlons-en-Champagne, did not expect to be invaded by hundreds of cars on Saturday evening. The town hall was taken aback. "We let it go, we just stopped the flow of cars that kept coming, they turned around. The music continued all night. " An investigation is underway to clarify the conditions of organization of this festival which does not speak its name, with paid entry and several artists come to ensure the spectacle.

The participants scattered all over France

In this period of health crisis, Bruno Adnet denounces irresponsible behavior. "So many people, I had never seen that. And what is more serious, for me, today, is at the level of the Covid because all this population did not have a mask, no gloves, no social distancing, as if nothing had happened. Compared to the pandemic we are experiencing today, I find it a little deplorable, "plague the elected official.
