- Together with the infection tracing unit, extensive work is now being carried out to catch everyone who may have become infected and prevent further spread inside and outside the hospital, says chief physician Anna Michaëlsson at Västervik Hospital in a press release.
Of the eight infected, two are patients and five employees. The eighth is said to be a relative of the patients. All staff in the department now use mouth guards and visors while further infection tracking is ongoing.
More people have been sampled, but these analyzes are not yet complete.
