While hope was allowed to the end, the search ended tragically. The body of a paraglider enthusiast, who disappeared Thursday after taking off from Val Louron (Hautes-Pyrénées), was found on Tuesday. Nothing foreshadowed the drama. The man had taken off from a paraglider base and the weather conditions seemed favorable.

The body was near Lake Oo, in the neighboring department of Haute-Garonne, the gendarmerie said. The research had also taken place on the Spanish side of the Pyrenees near the Val Louron.
