The National Police have arrested a 45- and 47-year-old married couple in Torrent (Valencia) for allegedly forcing their daughter-in-law to engage in prostitution in Spain and Germany. Along with them was their son, the victim's husband, who was not in Spain at the time of her arrest.

The young woman had to give them 300 euros a day and was forced to work on weekends if she did not get them from Monday to Friday. Both the husband and the mother allegedly physically assaulted her and threatened to take her daughter away from her if she did not accept.

After the investigations, the investigators confirmed the conditions of the extortion and that the victim was taken by car by her husband or father-in-law to the place where she was supposed to practice prostitution, both in private homes and on the street, reports Headquarters in a statement.

Once identified and located, the Romanian couple were arrested for an alleged crime related to prostitution, while the husband was out of the country.

The detainees, the man with numerous antecedents , are released after giving a statement and being warned of the obligation to appear when required.
