• Casa Real. The Kings of Spain: a summer without holidays amid the storm

The Infanta Sofía has appeared this Monday in the Balearic Islands accompanying her parents and her sister helped by a crutch due to a blow to one knee, for which they had to give her five stitches.

The youngest daughter of Felipe VI and Doña Letizia has come together with them and Princess Leonor to the Mallorcan town of Petra to visit several emblematic places in the life of the Franciscan saint Fray Junípero Serra, including his birthplace.

The four members of the royal family have accessed this place after traveling about two hundred meters down the street in which it has been possible to see how the Infanta Sofía was helped by a crutch that she carried in her left hand and her right knee was bandaged. At times she has also been helped by her sister to walk.

Zarzuela has reported that it was this Sunday when he suffered the blow that forced him to give him the five stitches, although without offering more details.

The Kings and their daughters arrived in Palma last Friday and from the airport they moved to the Palacio de Marivent without having been seen since.

Therefore, the act of Petra, in which they have been accompanied by the president of the Balearic Islands, Francina Armengol, and the Minister of Education, Isabel Celáa, is the first activity in which the kings and their daughters appear together on the occasion of their stay in Palma and it will last until August 18.

This morning, the King received various regional and local authorities at the Almudaina Palace, including Armengol.
