The whole thing was revealed last year when the girl told her mother about the abuse that had been going on for several years. She said that the man, who was born in the mid-70s, had first started touching her and then forced her to have oral sex and raped her.

When the abuse began, the girl was just over ten years old. The abuse must have occurred both in the girl's home and during holiday trips.

Harder verdict in the district court

The man has lived in Sweden for over 20 years and has a family and work in the country, therefore special reasons are required to deport him.

The man was first sentenced by the district court to 13 years in prison and deportation for, among other things, aggravated rape of a child. The Court of Appeal reduced the sentence to 12 years and did not consider that there were special reasons to deport the man and therefore revoked the district court's decision.

Appeals the decision

The Attorney General has now appealed the Court of Appeal's ruling on the issue of deportation and demanded that the man be deported from the country. The Public Prosecutor wants the issue of special reasons for deportation to be investigated so that it becomes a guide in the future. What weighs heaviest in the eyes of the law, strong privacy-violating crime with a high penalty value or that a person has lived for a long time in Sweden.
