Corona hits New Zealand again after 100 days, without cases recording

Yesterday, New Zealand announced that it had recorded four cases of the emerging coronavirus, after 100 days had passed without any local infections recorded.

The Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern, said that the cases include a family in Oakland, but more than one workplace was affected by these cases, without knowing the source of the infection.

"Although we worked hard to prevent this scenario, we also planned and prepared for it," Ardern said.

Residents in Auckland have been told to stay home from today, with schools to close for three days.
