Abu Dhabi Health Authority: The continued suspension of treatment abroad, except for urgent and critical cases

The Department of Health Abu Dhabi confirmed that the suspension of sending patients for treatment abroad is still continuing, with the exception of urgent cases that cannot be treated in the country based on the decision of the Joint Medical Committee.

The department clarified that it receives urgent treatment requests abroad through the "Tamm" platform, whereby the applicant, whether he has prior approval or not, must submit the application on the platform with the supporting documents and attach a recent medical report from one of the emirate's hospitals directed to the department and approved by each of the specialized consultant physician. In the case, the head of the department and the medical director to be presented to the Joint Medical Committee to decide whether the case is urgent and it is not possible to provide the service in the country or to coordinate with all the competent authorities to ensure that the patient gets the appropriate health services according to his health condition.
