10 August 2020 The Minister of Development Stefano Patuanelli signed the implementing decrees for the interventions provided for by the School Plan and Voucher Plan for families, as part of the ultra-broadband strategy, and for which 600 million are available.

The decree on the School Plan allocates 400 million for the activation of ultra-broadband services in over 32,000 school complexes, while the decree relating to the Family Plan - which has obtained the green light from the European Commission - allows to support the connection to Internet of about 2.2 million families with Isee under 20 thousand euros, through a voucher of 500 euros for the purchase of the connection and a tablet or PC.

The interventions will be managed by Infratel, the contribution paid from September. After the launch of these first measures, after the public consultation requested by the EU Commission , we will start with vouchers for families with Isee income up to 50,000 euros and businesses. 'Everyone must have access to new technologies, so we are committed to encouraging and accelerating investments in the digitization and diffusion of ultra-broadband, making them one of Italy's priorities in the Recovery Plan ", comments Patuanelli.
