This is reported by Interfax-Ukraine with reference to the head of the IFI, Rada deputy Oleksiy Goncharenko.

“We are preparing a statement on non-recognition of the presidential elections in Belarus for registration with the Verkhovna Rada and we ask our colleagues to support it,” the statement says.

The message says that the deputies must take this step due to the discrepancy between these elections "international standards".

“We call on the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine not to recognize the results of the presidential elections in Belarus in 2020,” the IFI stressed.

On August 10, it was reported that the CEC of Belarus announced the preliminary results of the presidential elections in the republic, according to which the current Belarusian Alexander Lukashenko is gaining 80.23% of the vote.

At the same time, 574,312 people, or 9.90%, voted for the opponent of the current president of the country, Svetlana Tikhanovskaya.
