Calls to the police came in just before 11 pm on Sunday evening.
- People have called in about suspected shootings because they heard bangs somewhere near Bandstolsvägen, says Daniel Wikdahl, press spokesperson at police region Mitt.
Police searched the area but could not find bullets, sleeves or bullet holes.
- We have not been able to establish that this is a shooting. It may have been an exhaust bang, fireworks or firecrackers you heard, says Daniel Wikdahl.
As we at SVT Uppsala have told, there have been alarms about loud bangs in Gottsunda / Valsätra in Uppsala on several occasions during the summer. Some of the times it has been confirmed to be firecrackers.
