Recently, an explosion in the port of Beirut in Lebanon caused severe damage to the 160-year-old Sursock Palace. The Sursock Palace was built in 1860 and is owned by the Sursock family. It is located on a small hill in the heart of Beirut, overlooking the port of Beirut. There are many exquisite works of art, furniture from the Ottoman period of Paul, marble and Italian paintings. The building was previously listed as a cultural heritage.

After the Lebanese Civil War, after 20 years of meticulous restoration, the palace was restored to its former glory. The damage to the building caused by the explosion was about ten times more severe than the damage caused during the Lebanese civil war. The reconstruction of the palace requires long, expensive and delicate restoration work. (Edited by Lu Jie)
