The commission clarified that it has taken several precautionary measures that will reduce the period of mixing inside the mosque, and thus reduce the chance of disease transmission between worshipers, including that the timing between the call to prayer and the Iqamah does not exceed 10 minutes for all prayers, stressing that there is no sin in leaving the Sunnah of “early to the mosques” », In light of these current epidemiological conditions, in which it is preferable to come to the mosque close to the residence, in order to avoid crowding out among the worshipers at the entrances to the mosque.
According to the authority, the preventive measures included the continued implementation of the decision to close ablution places in mosques, in order to spare worshipers the danger in light of the current circumstances, due to the large number of surfaces on which they are touched, which may be the cause of the transmission of Corona infection among them. She reiterated her emphasis on the preference to perform prayer at home as much as possible, even for people who do not suffer any health symptoms, saying: “Congregational prayer is a great reward, and its virtue is great. A person should not waste it or neglect it, but - under the current circumstances - if it is limited. To pray at home in fear for yourself, or for your family from the transmission of disease and infection, because there is no blame on you, but you may be rewarded for that, especially if your relatives have elderly people, pregnant women, or people with chronic diseases, and if you are able to perform the prayer with the people of your house A group, so have more virtue and reward for that. ”
The authority has taken the necessary precautions to reduce mixing inside the mosque.
