“The Russian Embassy in the Republic of Belarus has joined in resolving the situation in connection with the detention of Dozhd’s journalists in Minsk and is in contact with the Belarusian side,” she told reporters, quoted by RIA Novosti.

The location of the journalists has been established, Zakharova stressed.

According to her, "the reason for the incident is the lack of the necessary accreditation."

Earlier it was reported that the journalists of the Dozhd TV channel were detained in Belarus. According to the chief editor of the TV channel Tikhon Dzyadko, there is no connection with them yet.

It was noted that we are talking aboutcorrespondents Vladimir Romensky and Vasily Polonsky, as well as cameraman Nikolai Antipov.
