The heat is yet another test and everyone tries to cool off as best they can.

Make up for the three months of closure

For some, like Julie and her children, head to the water games in the Lille metropolis to keep busy. The opportunity to put on the swimsuit and have your feet in the water. "We try to take them out near the house so that they can still enjoy it. It's important for them and for us too," says Julie.

A small consolation for these Lille residents who should have left for Lake Annecy, before the coronavirus decides otherwise. Julie works in events and she couldn't afford a vacation. "With the wedding postponements we had to do, we canceled our vacation to be able to set dates as soon as possible. We were closed for three months, so it's not reasonable to go on vacation this summer financially. The sector is a bit complicated at the moment, ”she explains.

No Lille beach this year

Nathalie, who lives in an apartment with her daughter in the city center of Lille, regrets the lack of solutions to cool off in the metropolis. "I would really like there to be a few more water points. I don't know if we can put that in place," she wonders.

"It is difficult for those who do not go on vacation, we would like to be able to dive. We would like to be at the seaside, stirring and having fun with our toes in a fan", testifies Nathalie again .
