The Mossos d'Esquadra have arrested a 33-year-old man of Spanish nationality who this Saturday rebuked and attacked a couple with an iron bar for their sexual condition. Officers from the Nou Barris police station in Barcelona were alerted that a suspect had attacked a homosexual couple in the street and then fled.
An ambulance from the Sistema d'Emergències Mèdiques transported the victims to a hospital center to be treated for their injuries. Agents searched for the suspect and found a man who matched the description provided.
That is why he was detained for his connection to the attack and is being investigated for the crimes of injuries and another against the exercise of fundamental rights and public freedoms, since he allegedly acted for discriminatory reasons based on sex when he carried out the attack. The suspect will go to court in the next few hours.
