"Education" denies calling on students to use bags instead of bags

The Ministry of Education confirmed the incorrectness of what some circulated on the "groups" of social media, regarding the students' call to replace school bags with sterile bags to carry their books in.

It urged that information about the educational process and the educational field be obtained from its official approved sources.

“Groups” with students circulated an audio clip in which the spokeswoman claims that the ministry stressed the need to replace leather or other school bags with sterile plastic bags to carry textbooks in them, to ensure that Corona virus infection is not transmitted, and to ask students' families to refrain from buying bags for their children.

The Ministry intends to implement the hybrid education system within the smart Emirati school starting from the new school year, and has developed four flexible scenarios for school hours, provided that school education is 70% compared to 30% e-learning. The working hours ranged between five and a half and six hours.

She explained that the school hours in the first scenario start from 7:15 in the morning until 12:50 in the afternoon, the second from 7:30 to 1:05, the third from 8:00 in the morning to 1:35 in the afternoon, and the fourth from 8:30 to 2:50, provided that the hours are flexible, keeping pace with the needs and preferences of students, and adjusting their study times to suit their different educational capabilities.

The Ministry affirmed that this system guarantees flexibility in timing to apply self-learning, and encourages students to use smart resources that enrich their information in several fields in the future, and prepare them for higher studies and the labor market.
