Norway 

  • From midnight between 8 and 9 August, a ban will be introduced on serving alcohol in the pub after midnight.
  • People arriving in Norway from red-listed countries should wear mouth guards until they have reached the place where they are to be quarantined.
  • Does not open for larger events, the maximum number is 500 people. 
  • On 14 August, requirements for mouth protection will be introduced in public transport.
  • Norway has opened for four regions in Sweden. Residents in Kalmars, Östergötland, Örebro, Värmland counties can travel to the neighboring country without being quarantined. And next week, four more regions will be admitted, Dalarna, Södermanland, Västerbotten and Uppsala counties. 

Denmark 

  • Since the beginning of July, crowds of 100 people are allowed in the country, something that would be increased to 200 people in early August. But due to increased cases of infection, the 100 rule is now fixed. 
  • There is a requirement for mouth protection in public transport in Aarhus, after the city suffered a major outbreak this week. 
  • As of August 1, Denmark approved entrants from all regions in Sweden. 

Finland 

  • In early August, the country abolished the rule of a maximum of 500 people at indoor and outdoor public events.
  • Discussions are taking place regarding recommendations regarding the use of mouth guards in public places.
  • On 15 July, Finland opened restrictions on all Nordic neighbors - but not on Sweden.  

Iceland 

  • On 15 June, Iceland opened its borders to travelers from the EEA.
  • On 30 July, Iceland introduced the following restrictions, which apply for two weeks: It is mandatory to wear mouth guards in public transport and the maximum number of crowds is 100 people. 
  • Social distance of two meters is a requirement in all workplaces and public places. Where it is not possible to keep a distance of two meters, mouth protection is required - for example on domestic flights, ferries, hairdressing salons and other facilities for personal service. 
  • Bars and restaurants may only be open until 23:00.

Sweden

  • Prohibition of visits to all nursing homes in the country.
  • Prohibition of public gatherings and public events with more than 50 people.  
  • No entry for unnecessary travel to Sweden from countries outside the EU. However, there are a number of exceptions, read more about them here.
  • Special rules for restaurants, cafes and taverns. Among other things, restaurants must implement measures to avoid congestion at tables and in queues.
  • There is no requirement to wear a mouth guard.
