Mexican President Lopez Obrador argued that even though the number of Corona 19 deaths in his country exceeded 50,000, it was not a big deal.

Mexican President Lopez Obrador told a press conference yesterday in local time, "I don't like to compare, but we haven't been hit hard by the national pandemic."

"Despite factors such as the number of chronically ill patients in Mexico," he added.

As of the previous day, the cumulative confirmed cases of Corona 19 in Mexico were 462,690 and 5,517 deaths.

The number of confirmed cases is sixth in the world, and the number of deaths is the third highest after the United States and Brazil.

President Lopez Obrador emphasized that Mexico's corona19 death toll is the fifth in the Americas compared to the population, and that the US, Brazil, Chile and Peru are more affected.

When a reporter asked again about the 50,000 death toll, President Lopez Obrador reiterated that Mexico has many high blood pressure, diabetes and obesity patients.

Recently, the opposition party has voiced a voice to curse the Vice Minister of Health for response to Corona 19, but he dismissed it, saying that there will be no change.
