“On the territory of Russia, there have been no cases of acute fever with thrombocytopenic syndrome (SFTS),” TASS reports.

At the same time, it is noted that "the specialists of scientific organizations of Rospotrebnadzor have accumulated extensive experience in studying numerous representatives of the Bunyavirus family and there is a potential to counter the spread of SFTS in Russia."

Earlier in China, they warned about the spread of the SFTS virus in the country, which is transmitted to humans mainly from ticks.
