In Beirut, emotion gives way to anger. Four days after the double explosion which killed at least 150 people and left more than 5,000 injured, the Lebanese are demanding accounts on social networks. They are getting organized and are planning a big demonstration on Saturday afternoon. One of the rallies was even titled "hang them", proof that the Lebanese are at their wit's end after years of corruption.

"It's now or never"

After spending the day clearing the streets devastated by the explosion, Noura finds his friends, broom in hand, to organize for the demonstration. Since the explosion, this unemployed youngster has become even more determined to fight the government. "Beirut is destroyed. You can't imagine anything worse than that. It's now or never," says the young woman.

After a symbolic funeral for the victims of the explosion, the Lebanese will march through the city and head towards the Parliament and try to enter it. For Noura and her friends, it is a way of "clearing this corrupt political class": "I am 25 years old and since I was born, I know that this country and its entire political system are corrupt". She hopes to see new elections organized, to elect representatives of civil society.
