Dubai Residence issues 12 reports on the future of its sectors

The General Administration of Residency and Foreigners Affairs, in Dubai, issued 12 reports in preparation for the post-"Covid-19" phase.

The reports shed light on future challenges for the sectors of "Dubai Residence", including the human resources sector, which included the processes of adjusting the functional structures according to changing patterns and trends of work, and the air, sea and land ports sector, which included future operations for the entry and exit of travelers. The reports also focused on the processes of issuing entry and residence permits and their future requirements, in addition to the sector for following up on violators and foreigners.

The reports also shed light on future trends at various local, regional and global levels related to the fields of work of "Dubai Residence", including: security, safety, health, sustainability, quality of life, a shared economy, future government services, cultural identity, education and employment. In light of which 13 future scenarios were designed, and came up with 23 recommendations and proposals, to find innovative solutions, and to develop proactive plans that ensure the readiness and readiness of the "Dubai establishment" for the future.

The Director General of the General Administration of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al-Marri, affirmed that "Dubai Residence" has placed future foresight within its strategic plans, since the government launched the UAE strategy for the future in 2016, which aims to seize opportunities, anticipate early challenges and put in place proactive long-term measures. To ensure preparedness for the future with all its variables, and made preparation for it a necessity to adopt a forward-looking future thinking, based on flexibility and innovation, adding that “what we are going through in exceptional situations during the outbreak of the Corona epidemic confirms our ability to coexist with the changes and create new models and skills that are more flexible. And this is what we have seen through the remote work system, ”pointing out that“ the UAE has a future vision that is based on early preparation for the future, and this is what made it more powerful in facing the crisis of the outbreak of the new Corona virus, and its rapid and innovative measures to contain the pandemic, as the state has proven Its ability to meet this challenge, thanks to its proactive approach, and its success in dealing with the crisis efficiently and effectively.
