07 August 2020A 25-year-old mountaineer from the province of Varese died around 1.30 pm falling for a hundred meters from the Reposoir ridge of the Grandes Jorasses, on the Italian side of the Mont Blanc massif, at an altitude of 3,450 meters.The young man was with two companions. According to what was reconstructed by the rescuers, the three - strong mountaineers - had opened a new ascent route along the east face of the Grandes Jorasses.
