Veteran Per Eklund made his debut in 1971 and won the first rallycross competition run in Sweden. It was long before Johan Kristoffersson was even born and also long before his father, Tommy Kristoffersson, became Eklund's arch-rival in rallycross during the 80s and 90s.

- It was a war then, says Per Eklund.

But his son Johan Kristoffersson did not care about the fight between his father and Eklund, he liked Eklund and spent a lot of time with him.

Important genre rep

The sub-competition in RallyX Nordic at Westombanan this weekend is important for Kristoffersson.

- It is incredibly limited driving in motorsport and the weekend is an important rehearsal for me and the team before the upcoming World Cup races, says Johan Kristoffersson.

"Can't stand and scrap"

For Eklund, the weekend is pure enjoyment at home.

- We had rented the car but then nothing happened. But I thought that the car can not stand and scrap there, it's fun to try a little, it's fun, says Per Eklund.

All classes are represented during this weekend's competitions when it comes to re-running the Swedish Championship medals in two- and four-wheel drive.

SVT broadcasts from the competition on Sunday between 13.30-16.55 on SVT1. Johan Ejeborg and Jonas Kruse comment on the broadcast, interview reporters are Johan Hedlund.
