A 23-year-old young man was the victim of a fatal accident while riding a pedal boat on Lake Xonrupt-Longemer, in the Vosges, on Thursday. This young tourist from Mulhouse "could not swim," said a spokesperson for the fire department at 20 Minutes .
The victim was found four meters deep 45 minutes after he fell. The firefighters managed to resuscitate him before transporting him, in a worrying state, to the Epinal hospital. He died after arriving there.
The drama took place near the pedal boat rental pontoon, in front of many witnesses. The gendarmes opened an investigation.
