China's controversy over the death of a woman in her 60s after the typhoon'Hagupit' struck eastern China.

The accident occurred at the time of the Zhejiang repatriation. On the 4th, when Typhoon Hagupit landed on the mainland of China, a 64-year-old woman, Lin Mo, crashed and died in an 11th floor apartment. Mr. Lin's husband said, "I closed the window at about 1 o'clock in the morning, went to bed, and then awakened by the wind at about 3 o'clock." Subsequently, he found several windows open in the wind, and he said he was going to close the windows in the living room, and his wife, Lin, went to close the windows in the veranda laundry.

A moment later, after hearing a strange sound, I went to the porch and said that neither Lin nor windows were visible. Mr. Lin was found in a bush about 10 meters from the apartment and was taken to the hospital, but died. According to the China Meteorological Administration, at the time of the accident, there was a strong wind blowing at a maximum wind speed of 38m/sec. The apartment in the accident faces the sea, so the wind is said to have a greater impact.

In this way, Ms. Lin's death seemed to end with the'natural disaster' that the typhoon brought. However, after a bright day, it was confirmed that many windows of the apartment complex, as well as Mr. Lin's house, fell off. According to a Chinese media report, Pengpai reported that five of the veranda windows flew out of the same ridge as Mr. Lin's apartment, and 11 in the next ridge. In other buildings, several furniture windows were damaged. No matter how strong the typhoon was, the question was raised whether there was a'structural' or'constructive' problem when the windows fell.

Here, even the controversy over'insolvency' was raised. Residents of apartments said that after moving in in 2011, there were no disputes with construction companies due to apartment defects, and more than 10 cases were filed. Even one of the apartment buildings said it was demolished and rebuilt because of the settlement.

Chinese media also revealed that local officials who inspected the apartment complex were bribed based on past court rulings. At the time of completion, there were not many problems with the apartment, and the construction and supervision data were incomplete, so the inspection was not completed. However, immediately after the accident, the official said, "It is very unusual because the wind of the typhoon was so strong." Comparing the completed drawings also revealed that some residents'modified' the veranda.

The reaction of Chinese netizens is mixed. There are opinions that the construction company is wrong, such as'it is a human-made disaster','if there is a problem if the building is demolished and rebuilt','there is a resident who modified the veranda' There are also responses such as'This is wrong','It was enough to pull out trees as well as windows', and'How can windows block the power of typhoons?' However, many netizens mourned Mr. Lin's death. The comment,'There is an artificial disaster behind all natural disasters,' was also noticeable.
