An eyewitness interviewed by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) stated that when the explosion occurred, he “lost his hearing for a few seconds” and then “glass fell from all over the building”.

  Hadi Nasrallah said in an interview that he saw the fire, but did not know that there would be an explosion. Suddenly, he could not hear. He stated that he "lost his hearing for a few seconds" and knew that "something went wrong."
