- A larger joint sales warehouse would give us the opportunity to stock a larger quantity of consumables at a lower price, says Mikael Andersson Elfgren (M).

- It would also give us the opportunity to better distribute materials to those who need it, he says.

The corona pandemic has put heavy pressure on the country's regions and municipalities when it comes to protective equipment and consumables. The Moderates in the region are now proposing that Region Västmanland should organize and coordinate joint warehousing for this type of product in order to strengthen the county's preparedness.

- There is already a national investigation for emergency preparedness in health care that we should wait for, says Denise Norström (S), who is chair of the regional board, but of course we will review the proposal and consider it in the council.

- We can not wait for a state investigation and a mandatory legislation, we must act now, says Mikael Andersson Elfgren.

- Of course we can review the issue of warehousing, says Denis Norström, but if it is a larger warehouse, the question is whether it is we or the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency that should be responsible for it.
