Almost immediately after the two strong explosions that rocked Beirut, Lebanon received support from the international community, starting with France. Emmanuel Macron thus spoke Tuesday evening with his Lebanese counterpart, Michel Aoun to inform him of the delivery of “French aid and resources”.

We are deploying a civil security detachment and several tonnes of medical equipment in Lebanon. Emergency doctors will also reach Beirut as soon as possible to strengthen hospitals. France is already engaged.

Sanitary equipment and emergency workers sent

France will send a detachment of Civil Security and "several tonnes of medical equipment" specified the French president. “Emergency physicians will also reach Beirut as soon as possible to reinforce the hospitals. France is already engaged, ”added the Head of State.

Earlier in the evening, Emmanuel Macron expressed his “fraternal solidarity with the Lebanese after the explosion which caused so much victims and damage this evening in Beirut. France stands alongside Lebanon. Always ”, in a message written in French and Arabic on Twitter. The Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, also expressed his "solidarity with the Lebanese hard hit this evening". “My thoughts are with the victims. The Ministry of the Interior is mobilizing to respond to the President of the Republic's request to quickly send emergency resources, ”he added.

While Beirut has just been hit hard by explosions, France offers its condolences to the families of the victims and wishes a speedy recovery to the many injured.
