The President of the Republic will visit Lebanon on Thursday, after the explosions that ravaged the city of Beirut. A provisional toll shows at least 100 dead and more than 4,000 injured according to the Lebanese Red Cross. France has already sent personnel and equipment to help local authorities. 

Emmanuel Macron will travel to Lebanon on Thursday to "meet all the political players" after the explosions which ravaged Beirut and which killed at least 100 people, the French presidency told AFP. The French head of state will meet his Lebanese counterpart Michel Aoun and Prime Minister Hassan Diab, at a time when France has displayed its solidarity and sent personnel and materials to come to the aid of the Lebanese authorities, the Elysee said.
