Beirut Governor, Marwan Abboud, burst into tears as he described the explosion that rocked the Lebanese capital and resulted in dozens of dead and hundreds of wounded.

The governor, during his talk to Sky News Arabia, described the explosion as a "national catastrophe" and a "calamity."

"We appeal to the Lebanese people to hold together ... We are strong and we will remain strong," Abboud, who was present at the scene, added, describing the bombing as happened in the two bombings of the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan.
