Late Monday night, a patrol was to check on a young man who was driving carelessly on a cross.

- But he drove the stationary police car, overturned and then ran from the scene. The patrol ran after and caught up with him, says Peter Adlersson, press spokesperson in police region West.

When the patrol returned to the car, someone else had driven away with the cross. According to the police, a group of young people behaved so threateningly towards the patrol that they were forced to pull a baton to keep the young people at a distance and be able to drive from the scene with the cross-country driver.

No one has been detained, but the police have drawn up reports of negligence in traffic and blue light sabotage and will interrogate several people.

Peter Adlersson believes that there are recurring problems in Lilla Edet with motor-borne youth.

- We have received many complaints from this place and that is why we had a check, he says.
