"From 4 to 7 August, the first stage of an operational-tactical exercise with the Air Force and Air Defense Forces is being held," the message says.
It is planned to work out the landing of MiG-29, Su-25, Yak-130, L-39 aircraft on a previously prepared airfield section of the M1 Minsk-Brest highway.
After landing, the aircraft will fly to the Ruzhany training ground and strike at ground targets, the department noted.
The Ministry of Defense also said that the area of flights from air attack weapons will be covered by Su-30SM fighters and Tor-M2 air defense systems.
Earlier, Minsk announced a planned military training session in the Vitebsk region bordering Russia.
