"Paul will spend 20 days in quarantine in colony IK-18 and then will be transferred to the colony of his permanent residence IK-17," said David Whelan.
On June 15, the court found Whelan guilty of spying against Russia and sentenced him to 16 years in a maximum security colony.
In December 2018, the FSB announced that the man had been detained during a spy action in Moscow.
