04 August 2020On the disappearance of Viviana Parisi and her 4-year-old son Gioele Mondello, which took place on the A20 motorway, investigates the Public Prosecutor's Office of Sant'Agata di Militello. The opening of a file must be linked to the need to clarify the many dark points of the story.

Viviana Parisi, 43, lives with her family in Venetico, a small town near Messina. To her husband Daniele Mondello, musician and DJ like her, she said that with the child she would go to a shopping center in Milazzo. He would have had to travel thirty kilometers. Instead he drove over 104. His car, an Opel Corsa, which bears the signs of a banal accident, was found by the traffic police near the Pizzo Turda tunnel in Caronia.

The woman's purse with documents and cell phone was found on the car. She would therefore have moved away from the highway. Investigators are now looking for any witnesses and meanwhile are checking a large area, including forested areas, to track down mother and son.

Everything suggests that it is a voluntary removal. But for what reason? It is the question around which various hypotheses are taking place, even the most alarming. The investigations also aim to define the personality of Viviana Parisi who in her Facebook profile speaks of her relationship with her intensely lived son. After the birth of the child, he writes, "I became part of a new, particular world full of commitments". And he adds: "At the birth of my puppy his world kidnapped me both with the heart and with the mind. My time left no room for other thoughts. It overwhelmed me. First of all I was involved in a sense of protection."
