• Health crisis: all information about the coronavirus

The Andalusian Government has approved this Tuesday a new sanctions regime to dissuade the population from non-compliance with the preventive measures against Covid. The fines may be up to 600,000 euros for very serious cases , those that could put more than 100 people at risk of contagion, while the minimum penalty remains 100 euros for not using a mask in public spaces or doing so inadequate.

According to the information that the spokesman counselor, Elías Bendodo, has transferred today , minor infractions of the security regulations will carry penalties of between 100 and 3,000 euros. Non-compliances that pose a risk to less than 15 people are considered minor.

As for the serious, for those actions that endanger between 15 and 100 people, the penalties may be up to 60,000 euros. Included here are resistance to authority or noncompliance with mandatory isolates and quarantines.

Finally, very serious offenses are those that put more than 100 people at risk and can carry a fine of up to 600,000 euros. Bendodo gave as an example the breach of the limitations of capacity in public places, the celebration of parties or prohibited meetings or the presentation of false documentation to the authority.

The situation of the pandemic in Andalusia continues to be under control, according to the Andalusian Government, although in recent weeks there has been a slight rise in the number of hospitalizations. As of today there are 81 people hospitalized, 10 of them in intensive care units (ICU). The number of hospitalizations experienced a continuous downward trend until June 8, although the curve is again rising, although very far from the growth rate that was experienced in the spring.

At the worst moment of the crisis, on March 30 and 31, the number of people hospitalized was 2,708, 438 of whom were in the ICU.
