A maternal assistant was indicted last Thursday for aggravated violence and placed under judicial supervision in Bordeaux after a report of pediatric emergencies at the Pellegrin hospital. It was she herself who had warned the emergency services the day before when she noticed the condition of a baby she was keeping. The five-month-old girl was in a coma, reports Sud Ouest.
Hospitalized, the child presented clinical signs of shaken baby syndrome. The forty-year-old, heard by the police from the departmental brigade for the protection of families like the parents of the baby, admitted the facts. She is prohibited from looking after children until further notice. The investigation continues on the basis of a rogatory commission.
