"Taking into account the epidemiological situation, as well as the needs of our tourism sector and the national interests of Montenegro, the National Coordination Council considered that there are no obstacles to the liberalization of the entry of Russian and Azerbaijani residents," the government of Montenegro said in a statement.

At the same time, the date of the beginning of the free entry of citizens of the Russian Federation into the Balkan republic was not named. There is no direct flight between Russia and Montenegro now.

COVID-19 vaccine work

Alexander Gintsburg, Director of the National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology named after N.F. Gamaleya, spoke about the reasons for the current unavailability of the COVID-19 vaccine for children. According to him, tests of the drug with the participation of children can begin after the completion of the third phase of the trial.

"I really hope that the vaccine will be suitable for children, but, according to Russian legislation, children can be tested for a vaccine and a new drug can be offered only when it has passed the full cycle of tests on adults," RIA Novosti quotes Gunzburg.

Along with this, the director of the Institute of Translational Medicine and Biotechnology at Sechenov University, Vadim Tarasov, recalled that children are not at risk and are easier to tolerate coronavirus infection. He also noted that preclinical trials on immature animals are usually done before vaccines are given in children.

On August 1, Health Minister Mikhail Murashko announced the completion of clinical trials of a COVID-19 vaccine developed by the Gamaleya National Research Center. A package of documents for registration is currently being prepared. According to him, the start of mass vaccination of the population is planned in October, while vaccination will be free.

In addition, the day before, the Ministry of Defense announced a final medical examination of volunteers who participated in testing a vaccine against coronavirus. The examination was carried out in accordance with the protocol on the 42nd day after the administration of the drug and did not reveal any deviations or side effects. The results showed that all volunteers had a clear immune response.

According to the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund Kirill Dmitriev, the registration of the first domestic vaccine against coronavirus should take place before August 15. He stressed that the Ministry of Health received "very good" results from the first and second phases of drug trials.

“As Mr. Murashko said, mass vaccination of Russians who want to receive the vaccine will begin in October. Our two portfolio companies, Alium and R-Pharm, will produce this vaccine. We expect that by the end of the year we will reach about 10 million vaccines per month in Russia, ”Dmitriev said on the air of the Russia 24 TV channel.
