China News Service, August 3 According to Korea Broadcasting International (KBS), due to the influence of the rainy season forwards, many places in South Korea have rained continuously since the 1st, causing casualties in the metropolitan area and Chungbuk Province.

  South Korea’s Central Disaster Safety Response Headquarters stated that as of 6 am local time on the 3rd, a total of 6 people across South Korea had died due to heavy rain. Among them, heavy rain fell in Chungcheongbuk-do area, causing 4 deaths and 8 missing.

  As of now, 486 households with more than 800 people have been affected in South Korea, and more than 1,500 people have been moved to safe areas due to possible water flooding in their houses. Among them, more than 1,200 people in Icheon and Yeozhou have been temporarily placed in community halls or nearby stadiums.

  The Central Disaster Safety Countermeasures Headquarters raised the emergency response level to the highest level at 3 pm on the 2nd. The central and local governments mobilized all forces to prevent more casualties and property losses, and actively carried out reconstruction work.
