As the governor of the region, Oleg Kuvshinnikov, explained, the high alert regime is being extended "to maintain control over the situation" with the coronavirus.
According to him, "masks, disinfection, social distance are required."
He also recommended tightening control over compliance with the requirements of Rospotrebnadzor by citizens and organizations.
Earlier in the Sverdlovsk region, self-isolation was extended for people over 65.
