"The fonts of the state registration plates of vehicles, the structure and dimensions of the main types of registration plates have been preserved unchanged," the Federal Agency for Standardization said.
According to the agency, the changes affected vehicles with a non-standard mounting location for registration plates. Now it can be installed "instead of the rear registration plate type 1)"; reduced overall dimensions of the registration plate for motorcycles.
In addition, a type of registration plates for motorcycles of diplomatic and consular missions appeared.
In June, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia approved changes in the order on registration plates of vehicles: the list of numbers with which a three-digit automobile region code can begin will be expanded.
In turn, the chairman of the Movement of Motorists of Russia Viktor Pokhmelkin, in an interview with Vzglyad, proposed to abandon the region code in the license plates.
