Infectious disease expert Anthony Fuchi questioned the safety of vaccines currently being developed in Russia and China.

"I really hope the Chinese and Russians will test their vaccines before they can be used by anyone," declared Fauchi, a member of the newly created Corona virus cell in the United States, at a hearing before the US Congress.

The highly respected director of the American Institute of Infectious Diseases added, "The announcement of a vaccine development that can be distributed even before it is tested poses a problem in my opinion, in order not to say more than that."

He believes that the United States will not have to rely on vaccines developed by other countries, according to "the French Press Agency."

And this week, Russia announced that it would start, as of September and October, industrial production of the two vaccines against "Covid-19", which were developed by researchers from government centers.

Kirill Dimitriev, head of the Russian sovereign fund that funds the development of one of the two vaccines, likened the current race to find a vaccine for "Covid-19" with space exploration.

He told CNN that the Americans were surprised when they heard the signal (Sputnik), the first satellite launched by the Soviet Union in 1957. He added: "It will be the same with the vaccine. We will be in the forefront to develop it."

Moscow has not disclosed scientific data proving the effectiveness and safety of its vaccines.

Several projects to develop vaccines have shown encouraging results, including a Chinese project carried out in cooperation between the Military Research Institute and the Cansino Biologics Group.

At the end of June, the Chinese military authorized the use of the vaccine in its ranks, even before the final stages of its testing began.

Three vaccines that are developing in western countries have reached the final stage in their clinical trials in humans, which is a vaccine for the American company "Moderna", another developed by the British "Oxford" University in cooperation with the AstraZeneca laboratory, and a third for the German "American" Biotech-Pfizer Alliance .
